file extentions

Post by Moisty » Wed Aug 12, 2020 11:17 am

I'm not sure if I'm being incredibly stupid but when I zip up, for example, a PDF document filename (Document.pdf) the Keka zip file that is created is (Document.pdf.zip). Surely it should just have the .zip extension?

file extentions

Moisty, the current behaviour inherits the original extension if it is visible for the user. The upcoming Keka version 1.2.0 has an option to choose not to inherit them unless needed (on some archive-only formats like GZ). You can try that version right now if you want: https://beta.keka.io

Or just wait a couple-four weeks to get the final release.
