I’m using Catalina, Mac mini, I have large files to compress and move to a USB drive. I’ve compressed the files using the ZIP,option and the drive is formatted MS-DOS ex fat. But when I try to move the compressed file I get a message saying there’s not enough room for that format, although the 128 GB drive is empty.
I can move the compressed files to the USB drive if I format the drive for MAC, but I’m not sure about the OS the recipients will be using. Help?

Not Enough Room on Empty USB Drive
Note the difference between MS-DOS FAT and exFAT (not from MS-DOS era). You should use exFAT if using files larger than 4 GB. exFAT is usually compatible with all modern OSs and most current TVs.
