is it possible to use rev file to recover a RAR archive with Keka?

Keka is not prepared for those files. That can be a great addition though. You have trouble reconstructing using the Terminal?

Sorry, how can I work with terminal?

You can download the RAR binary
, then execute it in the Terminal like this:
Code: Select all
rar r <YOUR_FIRST_RAR_PART.part1.rar>
The command "r" is what call the "reconstruction" method. Once reconstructed you can extract it normally with Keka.

of course it's what I'm used to do right now.

I just remembered (thanks to a bug) that Keka already uses those REV files automatically when needed. There's a bug in 1.2.0 version and newer, fixed in this build
and in the next 1.2.5 version (to come in one or two weeks).
Does this build work for you? Yo can remove a volume part to try it. Remember that Keka needs file access in the folder where the volumes are so it can read the REV files and recreate the missing volumes.
