Deploying Keks in Jamf

Post by jlattke » Thu Dec 12, 2019 11:35 am

Keka is the standard tool in our company to protect archives with a password. But the new Versions for Catalina need to give access to drives/destinations … that makes it a little bit difficult for our employees to use Kuka (they just don't understand what to do and how to enable Keka to have access to the necessary drives. Is it possible to deploy the needed settings together with Kuka trough a MDM-Tool like Jamf? And how should we address the settings?

If so, those are not controllable by Keka or any other app, as far as I know.

You can add "Full Disk Access" in the System Preferences, but again I'm not sure this can be done editing a PLIST file or with a script... It will break all the security purpose. So this should be done "by hand".

jlattke, if you were talking about that, I just found with https://github.com/jamf/PPPC-Utility you can enable those via Jamf.

Let me know if you were talking about another thing.
