Multiple archives created

Post by morganc » Thu Nov 13, 2014 4:37 pm

My frequent use case for Keka is dropping multiple files to generate a compressed archive (which thankfully doesn't include resource forks or other meta data). Sometimes Keka decides to make multiple archives. I have no idea why, but it seems to seriously dislike when a file doesn't fit with the average file size of the other files. Is this correct?

I'm assuming there is a good reason for that, but I would *love* to have a way to turn that off. Is there anyway to make one drop always equal one file?

There is not such distinction in file size. Dropping a bunch of files will always create a single file. Selecting "Archive as single files" in the main window or in the preferences will make separated files.

I've found sime time ago a bug not yet fixed that consist in a file with some special characters that will separate from the other compressed files. Maybe is that your case?
