Hello everybody,

I was very excited about the fact that there is a tool with which I can protect ZIP files.

I have to change Documents between me and a bank teller and he

asked me, if I can send him the files in a protected ZIP file.

And I asked him: Is this possible? Reply: why not.

So I checked the Internet about this topic and there it was: KEKA

But there is one thing that makes me nervous. When I put my password in a ZIP file

and want to reopen it, I have to put in my password again. But I can type anything I

want it opens anyway. Only when I delete the program there is no chance to open the

zip file without the wright password. So the password is stored with the program

(or whatever). But it makes me feel nervous, if I cant check it. So at least here is my

Is there a way beside deleting the whole program to check if the zip file is protected whith

the write password?

Thank you very much in advance and greetings from Germany

Hi Currere,

You may be doing something strange since this is not the default behavior. What version are you using of Keka? I may make a video to show you the correct way to do it.

You just need to select Zip in the tab, write the password in both the password fields and compress your files. Then opening the password protected compressed file must ask a password, opening it with Keka or with another app.
