newbie tar confusion

Post by teamnoir » Thu Aug 16, 2012 10:03 pm

I'm new to keka and I'm confused. I want to create a foo.tbz aka a foo.tar.bz2 archive, preferably in one step, but I don't see how. That is, one archive write, (not two), and preferably one navigation and click.

How do I do that with keka?

Hi, sorry for the late reply. Keka makes tbz2 and tgz automatically when needed. Just select Bzip2 in the Keka main window and drop your files. The ouput will be a .tbz2 if you dropped more than one file or a folder.

Hope this helps :)

Ah! A hidden semantic.

Then how do you compress multiple files separately?

With the 'archive as single files' option
