Next Version, Keka vs Rucksack, Context Menu Questions

Post by UpdateNut » Tue Jun 05, 2012 5:40 pm

I have some questions: How much longer before we see the next version of Keka, and what version will it be? When will we see Keka vs Rucksack (now Archiver) Round 2? Is the Context menu add-on compatible with any OS above 10.6? Will it need to be reinstalled when a new version of Keka comes out?
I remember what that fool said in 2008 after SB Pro PE 2.483: "Try shooting the M1 with your CV90. Just try it." I did. He's still complaining. Blood may move the wheels of history, but only our cunning keeps the wheels oiled.

A new update it's coming this week :)
The round... I dunno...
And about the context menu, the current 1.1 version is working in Lion too, and Mountain Lion I suppose as well but I've did not tested it yet. I'm changing the "Snow Leopard only" text in the website right now ;)

I had to create a Services folder in my Library, but the compress with Keka context menu showed up in the context menu. Just need to overcome one problem: I've found the Info.plist file. How should I edit line 11 in it in order to make the context menu work?

You just need to replace the phrase inside the <string></string>. Any text editor is good for that.

Yes, and I know how to use TextEdit to do that. What I want to know is what should I replace the phrase with?

You mean that the workflow is not showing at in menu?

Changing this line is only to customize the item or translate it...

It is showing up, but every time I try to use it, it says "The action “Open Finder Items” encountered an error." It doesn't give any more details, and Show Workflow just points me to the Compress with Keka.workflow.

Try this one and let me know. This is part of the new context menu that I'm working on for a few months now.
