Split method

Post by IanStevenson » Thu May 03, 2012 12:02 am

Keka looks great but I need to know how to extract my split files on systems other than Keka. How does the split mechanism work and how can I use utilities such as zip, gzip, tar, etc to extract a spilt archive made with Keka?

Thanks in advance,
Ian

Hi Ian,

You just need an unarchiver, such as 7zip (Windows) or File Roller (Linux)

Any recommendations for the Mac OS X. unzip on the command line isn't looking too helpful.

Thanks,

If you're searching an alternative, I can point you to The Unarchiver, which is great for extracting stuff.
