Hi
sorry to have to ask such a question but Google gives no results or anywhere else on thew or wide web ????????
If I compress a folder on KEKA say into multiple DVD size chunks, can they then be de-compressed on a windows machine
I know WINAR is not great but I am having people saying that they cannot open up my files that I have compressed with KEKA on their Windows units
Many thanks in advance

Sure they can. They can also use 7-Zip instead of WinRAR, but I don’t see why it can’t handle the files. I’ll make a test in a few hours.

Re: The most simple question
Just checked that WinRAR (at least 5.50) can open parted 7z files (filename.7z.001...). So maybe the files got damaged in the transfer process?
